So on New Year’s Eve I had the pleasure of documenting the lovely Billy and Gemma’s winter wedding.
It was a beautiful, creative and awesomely cool occasion, from the origami cranes (made by the bride's father) decking out the Crypt on the Green, Clerkenwell, to the humanist vows and whole congregation singing Nick Cave’s Into My Arms along with the bride and groom.
We grabbed some urban portraits in Bleeding Heart Yard and Smithfields Market as the light was fading, before reconvening at The Fable restaurant in Holborn Viaduct for a slap up meal, speeches and a raucous party.
Brilliant music was provided by karaoke band One Night Stand and a steady stream of enthusiastic singers... Instead of a first dance Gemma and Billy each took to the stage, belting out an indie classic a piece.
A truly rock n roll wedding :)
"We absolutely adore the pics!" Gemma
