Hello and welcome! I’m Emma. That’s me over there →→→ (or possibly there, mobile heads ↓↓↓). Usually though, you’ll find me behind the camera, wearing a mahoosive grin.
I've been documenting weddings across East London since 2014, for couples who want to feel connected, joyful and immersed in their wedding day (rather than spend the day pulling cheesy poses).
I love what I do and even my most camera-shy clients say I make being photographed “surprisingly fun”. I’ve been told I bring a calm presence that helps my clients feel safe and supported.
My documentary approach means I blend into your celebration, capturing genuine emotions and natural interactions.
I believe beauty is found in connection, not perfection - and that's what I specialise in capturing when I document your wedding story.
A bit more about me
London native: I've been photographing weddings across this city for over 11 years and I know it inside out. The light on Hackney Town Hall at 3pm; the best portrait spots on the South Bank and picnic spots on Hampstead Heath.
A former journalist. I'm trained to spot the moment, to see the story unfolding, to capture the thing that matters before it's gone. I'm genuinely interested in the uniqueness everybody brings, in what makes your story yours. I don't do cookie-cutter weddings because I don't see cookie-cutter people.
Charity comms and human rights. I worked with indigenous communities in Latin America and people from all walks of life. I learned about cultural sensitivity and how to put people at ease in unfamiliar situations.
A photography degree and over 11 years of professional experience. I have technical mastery but never let technique get in the way of the moment. Sometimes grain and blur complete a story that would be missing with pin-sharp perfection.
Award winning. I won an award for my portraits of strangers on the Night Tube. (If I can make strangers look relaxed, real, and beautiful in the harsh light of the London Underground, imagine what we'll create together!)
Mum to Jakey. My family is LGBTQ+ and allyship is a core value. I bring that openness, acceptance and care to every wedding I shoot and every area of my life. Proud to be a part of a community that celebrates love in all its forms 🌈
