EAST LONDON WEDDING VENUES

WE HAVE THE BEST PLACES TO GET HITCHED!

Get married in East London

YOU’ll love IT

East London has some of the coolest, quirkiest and most magical wedding venues you could ask for. Some well-known, others a little more niche. There’s something for every budget as well.

As a London wedding photographer I’ve lived and worked in this neck of the woods for well over a decade: Here’s my insider’s low-down of the places you should definitely check out for your East London wedding.

Wilton’s Music Hall

If magic and atmosphere are what you’re after, Wilton’s has it all. The oldest surviving music hall in the world, this Grade II listed building retains many of its original features and an irresistibly evocative sense of faded grandeur that makes for spectacular wedding photography. It’s only available on a few dates of the year though, so plan ahead if you want to snap it up.

Clapton Country Club

Once a depot for horse-drawn trams Clapton Country Club is another oasis of industrial-historical glamour (yes this is definitely a thing), oozing with romance as well as ‘wow’. With up-cycled interiors and ethical food and drink, it will also appeal to couples looking for something both unique and environmentally sustainable.

Hoxton Hall

Another Grade II listed music hall in the heart of East London, Hoxton Hall has oodles of intimate charm, making it the perfect wedding venue. It’s also a fully-functioning live music venue, so if a live band or proper ol’ boogie are high up in your wedding priorities, this place could have the set up you’re after.

Tab Centre

With it’s fabulously high ceilings, and natural light, the Tab is a visually-unique venue in the heart of Shoreditch. A(nother!) Grade II listed building, it suffered bomb damage in WW2 and fell into disrepair before being restored to its former glory in 2005. It also functions as a community hall and venue hire profits are invested into local projects.

Town Hall Hotel

With its Art Deco interiors, historical council chamber and range of super stylish spaces, Town Hall Hotel is another superb East London venue, whether you’re having a big bold bash or something more intimate. The Grade II listed Edwardian building fell into disrepair in the 1990s and was used as a film set before its award-winning conversion to hotel and apartments in 2010.
