Fun-filled festival wedding | Anna + Ollie
Anna and Ollie's wedding at her parents' wild camping farm in the Sussex Weald was one of those days that reminded me why I love this job. It was SO much fun - a day full of creativity and joy.
The location was stunning, and here's the thing that still makes me smile – I'd actually camped there during lockdown in 2020. I had no idea it was the same place until I arrived that morning!
It was scorching hot, one of those high summer days where you can feel the heat radiating off everything. Anna and Ollie kept things intimate with a small ceremony in Lewes with their closest family, then a big do at the farm for cocktails, lawn games, a buffet lunch, party and fire pit. It was ‘full festival’ vibe.
A huge marquee hosted the wedding breakfast, speeches, and dance floor. The evening also included a roller-skate hula-hoop dancer because… why not? Between the DJ and live music the dance floor was absolutely banging.
Anna and OIlie thought of everything: an acoustic jazz band, outdoor bar, pizza van for an evening fuel top-up. Even the family dogs joined in. As golden hour approached, we slipped back into the woods for some playful portraits in that gorgeous light.
What struck me most about Anna and Ollie's day was the warmth between everyone there. They were surround with so much love. I hope they'll always look back at these photos and be able to remember exactly how it felt.
