Wasing Park wedding photography | Harley & Steve’s celestial celebration

Harley and Steve's Wasing Park wedding was one of those days that reminded me exactly why I love what I do. Their celestial-themed celebration was absolutely beautiful to photograph, and working at this Berkshire venue was such a lovely experience.

Why Wasing Park is a wedding photographer's dream

When couples ask me about venues that truly understand weddings, Wasing Park immediately comes to mind. This award-winning exclusive-use venue in Aldermaston is beautiful, but what really impressed me was how professionally run it is by a team that genuinely cares about making your day work.

going Above and beyond

I've worked at a lot of venues, and you quickly learn which ones really get it. Wasing Park gets it. The restored farm hamlet setting is gorgeous, but it's the little things that show how much they care.

Perfect example: I accidentally left my battery charger behind after Harley and Steve's wedding. Did they just pop it in lost property? Nope – they posted it to me straight away. Any wedding photographer will tell you that equipment is everything, and this kind of thoughtfulness is exactly why it’s a pleasure working at Wasing Park.

The staff are calm, friendly, and incredibly helpful. They understand how weddings flow and work seamlessly to keep everything running smoothly, so couples can focus on what really matters – celebrating with their loved ones. This kind of professional, unobtrusive support is exactly what allows couples to truly relax and be present in their own day.

Harley & Steve's celestial celebration

Harley and Steve chose Wasing Park for their teal and celestial-themed wedding, complete with peacock feathers and silver accents. They told me they wanted their day to be all about "love, happiness & laughter" – and the venue provided the perfect backdrop for exactly that vibe.

One of its real highlights is the variety of backdrops it offers. From the elegant Garden Room ceremony space to the charming Victorian Summerhouse for portraits, the beautiful outdoor terraces and gardens, and finally the unique Castle Barn – each space has its own character and charm.

Ceremony in the Garden Room

The couple chose the Garden Room for their ceremony, and it was perfect for their guest count. Those glass bi-fold doors are a photographer's dream - creating a beautiful feeling of undefined space while flooding the room with gorgeous natural light.

Portraits in the Victorian summerhouse

After the ceremony, we used the Victorian Summerhouse for wedding party and couple portraits. The interior mural of flowers, cherry trees, birds and butterflies creating an enchanting backdrop to perfectly complement their celestial theme. The natural light streaming through creates those magical moments that couples love in their photos, enhancing those "genuine moments of laughter & happiness" that initially drew Harley and Steve to my work.

Celebration in the Castle Barn

The wedding breakfast took place in the Castle Barn, which then seamlessly transitioned into the evening celebration space. After dinner, guests enjoyed a magician and lawn games with drinks (and candy floss!) on the terrace and gardens… and oh my word, the summer evening light was absolutely gorgeous that day.

As the evening progressed, everyone moved back into the Castle Barn for cake cutting and dancing. The outdoor pizza oven was also a lovely touch that guests really enjoyed throughout the evening.

The perfect venue for creative couples

What I love about Wasing Park is how it enhances rather than restricts creativity. The variety of spaces means every couple can find their perfect setting. For Harley and Steve, the venue allowed their celestial theme to truly shine. The professional approach of the Wasing Park team meant Harley and Steve could truly relax and enjoy their day without any venue-related stress.
